Solution Focused Hypnotherapy

I am qualified to help clients using Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, which is a type of ‘talking therapy’, that combines the use of psychotherapy with hypnosis. Hypnosis or ‘trance’ is a very natural, relaxing state, encouraged by using guided relaxation, where the mind can relax and then focus on thoughts and suggestions that might be useful. 


My goal is to help people so they can become their best, richest, most fulfilled selves - and to help them eradicate any problems holding them back.

 

As a modern psychotherapeutic approach, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy uses practical, structured, and well-researched strategies to help people make significant, positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time. 


Most importantly, when using Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, I look at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to seek help (the problem).

Have you ever been so engrossed in a book, TV programme or film that you had not realised how much time had elapsed? or can you recall driving a car on your daily commute, when suddenly you realise you weren’t aware of part of the journey?


These are examples of naturally occurring trance and, through simple guided relaxation techniques, you can reach this level of relaxation in the hypnotherapy sessions. You remain awake, aware and in control. 

It’s a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.



In this state of trance your subconscious mind becomes more receptive to beneficial suggestions, accepting directions to promote the positive change you desire. Allowing you to become more focused, relaxed and able to make decisions easier. As a client, you need to want the change to happen and be willing to commit to a course of sessions, working with me to bring about that change.
